A NEO-ASSYRIAN BLACK SERPENTINE CYLINDER SEAL
CIRCA 900-700 B.C.

Engraved with a figure lying on a bed under a semicircular tent-like structure, a bearded figure with an instrument leans over the bed-ridden figure, while a female figure kneels at the head of the bed holding a flaming bowl, to the right of the structure is a gesticulating female, while to the left is a standing figure holding a staff, on the roof of the structure is a profile dog, a stylus and rhomb in the field, a star, crescent, winged sun disc and five globes in the sky, line border, 30 x 14 mm
