TWO SYRIAN HEMATITE CYLINDER SEALS
CIRCA 1850-1720 B.C.

One engraved with two pairs of warriors in combat, the group on the left wearing loincloths and cross their arms, the left figure of this group wearing a short pigtail, the group on the right in a half-kneeling position, wearing long slit robes, their arms crossed, each holding a dagger(?), with a hand and ball staff in the field, 16 x 8 mm, and one engraved with two figures wearing thick waistbands, raising one hand over a laden table between them, with a figure to the right wearing a loincloth with tassel, holding two daggers, a ankh in the field, a star in the sky, with a griffin above guilloche above an ibex, line border, 17.5 x 10 mm (2)
