A MEISSEN BUTCHER about to chop a carcass resting on a tree-stump, in black tricorn hat, cream jacket, puce apron and brown breeches and black shoes (restoration to right hand, handle of axe, right ankle and damaged restored chip to edge of jacket, slight chipping to extremities and part of drapery lacking), circa 1750
