EDO PERIOD (CIRCA 1750-1850), SIGNED

The iron tsuba comprising: an oval mokko plate with raised rim and a large, scroll-form hitsu-ana carved on the web at top and bottom, on face and reverse, with scroll work, (slight rust areas), signed, Bushu ju Akasaka Tadanori (second generation, circa 1800)--7.2cm. h., 6.6cm. w., 3.5mm. th.; an oval plate carved on the web with summer bamboo blinds and aoi plants, the leaves and rim
with gold nunome highlights and pattern, signed Bushu ju Masachika, (Ito school, circa 1850)--7.5cm. h., 7cm. w., 4.5mm. th.; a smooth plate formed as half a chrysanthemum flower at top and bottom with a connecting leaf at sides, signed Bushu ju Tomoyuki (chikyo), (unrecorded, circa 1800)--7.6cm. h.,7.2cm. w., 5mm. th.; a round plate carved in high relief as bamboo branches, signed Bushu ju Masayoshi, (circa 1850)--7.2cm. h., 7cm. w., 4.5mm. th.; a rounded plate pierced with a bird, three stars and clouds, signed Bugo Asakusa ju Masahide and kao, (active in Edo, circa 1850)--7.4cm. h., 7cm. w., 5.5cm. th.; an oval mokko plate carved in low relief with cherry blossoms and aoi leaf vines, similarly decorated on reverse, signed Bushu ju Masayuki, (Edo Ito school, circa 1850)--7.2cm. h., 6.2cm. w., 4.5mm. th.; a mokko plate pierced with three peony blossoms, buds and leaves with gold nunome accents, the edge and rim covered with gold nunome broken pattern design, --8.1cm. h., 7.7cm. wÿ, 4mm. th.; a mokko plate carved in sukashi with gold-accented cherry blossoms and rafts, the edge and rim covered with gold nunome broken pattern design, signed Bushu ju Masaharu, (Edo Ito school, circa 1850)--7.2cm. h., 6.7cm. w., 4.5mm. th.
