A HEIANJO TSUBA
MOMOYAMA PERIOD (CIRCA 1575)

The round iron plate formed as a large radish (daikon). The tail of the radish in a circle that touches the leaves at its top. The leaves have patches of brass in three places on the face and two on the reverse--height and width 7.5cm., thickness 4.0mm.
