In the form of a butterfly whose hinged wings form the covers opening to reveal a cylinder watch with white enamel dial, and a snuff compartment, the panelled sides chased and enamelled with musical trophies and baskets of flowers, the base with shaped panel enemalled with the figure of a butterfly within border of leaves, fitted with sur plateau musical movement playing on demand by means of switch on band, c. 1815--71.5mm long
