Lot Essay

Edward Fox worked as a landscape and architectural photographer in Sussex, England from the late 1850s until about 1880, when he sold his studio. His studies of trees in winter and in summer were exhibited at the Photographic Society in 1866, 1869, 1876-78 and finally in 1880.
