Each domed cover with acorn finial and 'jewelled' border, the oviform vase with side handles formed as putti below squared loops and on the curve of a laurel branch tapering to the foot of the vase, painted with an 18th century genre scene, the reverse with a loose bouquet, both within gilt trellis scroll-surrounds, the ormolu socle on four acanthus feet, the socle applied on the front with an ormolu mounted portrait of a court beauty--18½in.
