19TH CENTURY, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS AND INCISED MARKS, FROM THE MODEL OF CIRCA 1738 BY J.J. KAENDLER AND J.F. EBERLEIN

The tureen and cover moulded as shells, the cover with a figure of Galatea in triumph with attendant putti, the tureen handles formed as nereids trailing vines, the sides moulded with swans flanking shell cartouches and a garland of flowers, raised on two shell scroll feet with putti terminals and two feet formed as entwined dolphins--21½in. (54.5cm.) high, 16in. (40.6cm.) wide
