After a design by Meissonnier, baluster form, with two mermaid handles holding snakes, repousse and chased overall with mythological scenes of dancing maidens and Bacchic festivities, the footrim chased with ovolo, the rim chased with a tied reed band, marked under base--11 3/8in.(29cm.) high
