In the George I style, baluster, with overhead wood handle, the stand on four scroll feet with central removable burner, the side and base engraved with the crowned monogram AR, also numbered 12 and dated 1898, marked under base of kettle and burner--13¾in.(35cm.) high

Lot Essay

The monogram is that of Albert, King of Saxony (1828-1902), who ascended the throne on October 29, 1873. He married Karolina von Wasa.
