The ewer helmet-shaped on spreading stepped circular base rising to a knopped stem, the lower body applied with vertical stiff leaves, with molded shoulder and rim, with cast leaf-clad fluted flying scroll handle, marked on rim and foot with town mark and assay gauge--11¼in.(28.5cm.) high, the basin of circular form with molded rim, marked on rim with town mark, maker's mark and assay gauge--23 5/8in.(60cm.) diameter, also numbered 2 and with scratch weights M:6:7:2 and M:20:9 respectively
