MAKER'S MARK OF J. CHAUMET, PARIS, CIRCA 1890

Comprising a boat-shaped centerpiece on spreading foot, chased with rocaille and trailing foliage, under a massive tied laurel rim, being pulled by putti at each end, marked on foot, stamped under the base J.CHAUMET PARIS--32in.(81.4cm.) long and a five-section part-mirrored plateau, of shaped oval outline, the sides chased with scrolls and rocaille and each end rising to form a six-light candelabrum with elaborate foliate scroll and swag branches and vase-shaped foliate sockets, the two non-mirrored sections with plain removable plated fruit receptacles, fully marked--overall length 81in.(206cm.)
