Property from the Estate of NADIA GRAY One of Europes's leading actresses, Nadia Gray, has been associated with some of the foremost creative men in motion pictures and theater including Noel Coward, Federico Fellini and Vittorio de Sica. Perhaps the role for which Nadia is best known in America is Fellini's "La Dolce Vita," in which she did the famous strip tease in the climactic orgy sequence. That particular role was a far cry from the dramatic and comedy roles Nadia played where she was usually cast as an aristocratic, beautiful, elegant-looking lady. "I was so tired of playing those stiff roles, that when Fellini asked me to play a wild role in "La Dolce Vita" I jumped at the opportunity," says Nadia. "It proved to be one of the turning points of my career." Her regal roles came to her naturally, when at the age of 18 she married Prince Cantacuzino of Roumania and became Princess Cantacuzino. She took the stage name Nadia Gray, because she did not want to capitalize on the title of "Princess Cantacuzino." The Prince and Nadia eventually separated and he passed away in the early 1960's. Among the important films Nadia has appeared in are "The Parisienne" with Charles Boyer and Brigitte Bardot, "The Naked Runner" with Frank Sinatra, "The Crooked Road" with Robert Ryan, "Two for the Road" with Audrey Hepburn and "Holiday Island" with Vittorio de Sica.
