With domed cover, ball knop and fixed loop handles, the cover painted en grisaille with moths, the tapering cylindrical body with a dog in a landscape beneath the label LA FIDELITE on one side and a leopard on a rock beneath the label LA TRAHISON on the other, within gilt foliate swag borders--5¾in. (14.6cm.) high; together with a Paris coffee-can and saucer painted en grisaille, the cup with an Alsatian in the yard, the saucer with a rooster within bands of gilt honeysuckle; together with two similar unmatched saucers (gilding worn) (4)
