EARLY 19TH CENTURY, PROBABLY ARGENTINIAN
Based on a George III neoclassical example; vase-shaped, on square pedestal base raised on four paw feet and with a band of beading, rising to a spool-form stem with pierced and scalloped decoration and plain body with two acanthus loop handles with beaded decoration, with straight spout, the domed cover with beaded urn-shaped finial, the base engraved Da Ma Sexap. a M Mata, the removable finial with integral tongs, the base with pig compartment, apparently unmarked--23in. (58.4cm.) high
