(16 7/8 x 11 1/2in.), on guards, contemporary Dutch half calf gilt and sprinkled paper boards, covers badly worn, small tears into subject at central fold of map numbers 17, 18, 30, 50, 53, 61, 68, 69, 73, 74, 77, 92 and 98; smaller marginal fold tears to numbers 26, 43, 70, 79 and 80; some old staining at front.
Title leaf with hand-colored wooduct title ornament, one leaf (2 pp.) "Register", 112 double-page engraved maps numbered in ink, numbers 34/35, 55/56, 57/58 and 94/95 each are two sheets glued together and folding, for a total of 108 map sheets, ALL VERY WELL COLORED BY A CONTEMPORARY HAND; after Bolstra, Cruquius, de la Caille, de L'Isle Hattinga and others.

As well as the two world maps, fifteen relate to the Americas. Dutch possessions are, naturally, covered in considerable detail; also, eleven maps are of, or contain, town views.
