The first finely decorated in couched threads of gold, pale green and blue with eight contorted dragons amidst clouds and flame scrolls, as well as phoenix, all above a stylized terrestrial diagram and lishui stripe emblazoned with Buddhistic lions reserved on a bright red ground--41in. (104.3cm.) long; together with a silver-gray ground robe, decorated in couched gold thread with a bold contorted dragon amidst brightly colored, leafy peony worked in satin stitch--51½in.
