Each spot-hammered, on spreading circular base raised on four feet joined by wax-drip aprons edged with copper, applied with coppered and colored gold decoration including a copper butterfly, grass hopper, openwork foliage and geometric motifs, monogram CCF and crest, with removable shaped circular nozzles with molded rim, each marked--11 1/4in. high

Lot Essay

A pair of candlesticks from the same set was sold in these Rooms, June 3, 1989, lot 239. All four candlesticks have the same monogram and crest, and were owned by the same family until they were divided into two pairs.
