Tapering cylindrical, on flaring rim foot with a band of stylized foliate decoration on a matted ground, the front applied with a silver-gilt bird overlapping a matted oval cartouche formed by elaborate entwined foliate berried vines, all on a matted ground, engraved Presented by the Black Rock Regatta Association and Won by Michael Byrne of the Hibernian Club Sept 4th 75, Time 14'59 1/2", with angular handle engraved Boat and with crossed oars and a foliate spray, marked--3 3/4in. high
