MAKER'S MARK OF JOHN SAYRE, NEW YORK, CIRCA 1810

Comprising teapot, covered sugar bowl and covered cream jug; each oval with canted corners, on similar spreading foot, engraved on each side with a tied foliate fronds, enclosing on one side the script initial D, with engraved beaded borders, the domed cover surmounted by an oval urn-shaped finial with canted corners, the teapot with straight spout and wood scroll handle, each marked--length of teapot 12 1/2in.
