The hood with molded cornice terminating in carved rosettes centering three urn finials above an arched glazed door opening to a white-painted dial with Roman and Arabic chapter ring enclosing a sweep seconds ring and calendar day aperture and spandrels embellished with painted roses, inscribed "Seneca Lukens, fecit Jacob Meva, 1792" surmounted by a lunar dial flanked by fluted colonettes over a waisted case with thumbmolded rectangular cupboard door flanked by fluted quarter columns above box base centering a hollow-cornered thumbmolded panel flanked by fluted quarter columns, on ogee bracket feet (feet replaced)--93in. high, 19 1/2in. wide, 11in. deep
