The segmental fluted colonettes relate to a chest-of-drawers with segmental reeded colonettes sold by Christie's, New York, January 18, 1992, lot 453. Both objects are similar to a Boston chest-of-drawewrs at the Winterthur Museum labeled by Levi Ruggles (see Charles F. Montgomery, American Furniture: The Federal Period, (New York, 1966), p. 187, no. 144.
