Faceted navette-shaped, the sides with panels of vertical flutes enclosing panels of bright-cut engraved bands of foliate scrolls and wrigglework and drapery swags with tassels, each side with an oval foliate and wrigglework oval cartouche engraved with a monogram JSB and MDCCCI, with tapering straight spout and wood scroll handle, the hinged domed cover engraved with a stylized foliage border and surmounted by a bud finial, apparently unmarked--12in. long
