AMERICAN, 18TH CENTURY, VARIOUS MAKERS

Comprising: nine teaspoons, maker's mark SM, probably for Silas Merriman, New Haven, Connecticut, circa 1770, with oval bowls, the reverse with shell decoration, the upturned rounded stems engraved with script initial, each marked--5in. long; six small teaspoons, maker's mark of Samuel Parmelee, Guilford, Connecticut, circa 1760, with oval bowls, the reverses with shell decoration, with upturned rounded stems engraved on reverses LT, each marked--4 5/8in. long; six teaspoons, maker's mark of S. Earl, circa 1790, with oval bowls and downturned rounded end stems bright-cut engraved with an oval stylized foliate cartouche enclosing script initials RM, each marked--5 3/8in. long; a teaspoon, maker's mark BW, circa 1760,, with oval bowl and upturned rounded stem, marked--4 1/2in. long; a teaspoon, maker's mark of Benjamin Wynkoop, Fairfield, Connecticut, circa 1800, with oval pointed bowl, the rounded stem bright-cut engraved with a scalloped cartouche with laurel drop, enclosing script initials, marked--5 3/4in. long; and a pair of sugar nippers, circa 1765, engraved A*B, ,scissor-form, with shell tips, the join engraved with a flowerhead, apparently unmarked--4 7/8in. long
