A SILVER-HILTED HANGER with curved single-edged fullered blade double-edged towards the point, silver hilt comprising pierced bright-cut quillons (rear one replaced), eagle-head pommel linked to the front quillon by a double silver chain, and spirally ribbed ivory grip bound with silver wire and crimped copper ribbon, in original tooled leather scabbard (slight damage) with punched and chased mounts, maker's mark possibly of William Fearn, circa 1770; and another, with double-edged blade signed in full and etched on each face of the forte with a flower, the hilt comprising short quillons with scrolled recurved tips, small pommel-cap with grotesque mask, and spirally reeded green-stained bone grip, in original shagreen-covered scabbard (spilt and incomplete) with signed locket pricked with owner's initials and 'Knubley, No. 11, Charing Cross, London', London silver hallmarks for 1791, maker's mark M.B
