A RARE ALSATIAN D.B. FLINTLOCK TURN-OVER FOWLING-PIECE with four-stage barrels each signed and engraved with foliage at the breech, silver fore-sights, long tang engraved with foliage, rounded back-action lock signed within a foliated serpent, chiselled and engraved cock and steels, moulded figured walnut full stock, the butt with cheek-piece and lightly carved with foliage, engraved and chiselled iron mounts including pierced side-plate and trigger-guard incorporating the barrel-release, turned ramrod-pipes, and later ramrod (the stock and butt-plate replaced during the gun's working life), by Mouradin A Strasbourg, circa 1690
