A PAIR OF SILVER-MOUNTED PERCUSSION DUELLING PISTOLS, converted from flintlock, with twist octagonal barrels each signed on the top flat and with silver fore-sight, each breech with platinum line and struck beneath with maker's mark of Robert Wogdon, engraved tangs incorporating the back-sight, signed engraved detented bevelled locks each with safety-catch (one a working replacement), finely figured walnut full stocks (one fore-end split), chequered flat-sided walnut butts, silver mounts comprising engraved trigger-guards each with pineapple finial, butt-caps cast and chased with Britannia and rococo ornament in relief, vacant escutcheons, barrel-bolt escutcheons, turned ramrod-pipes, and a band at each fore-end, set triggers, and original ramrods, one with steel powder measure (the iron parts with some pitting), by John Barton, London, London silver hallmarks for 1801, maker's mark of Moses Brent
