Rectangular, with silver oval aperture enclosing a photograph of the Empress Maria Feodorovna, enamelled in apple green over guilloché ground applied with a silver-gilt rosette on each side and a two colour gold ribbon-tied laurel wreath in each corner, surmounted by a gold ribbon crest, silver chased acanthus border on two toupie feet, silver gilt strut on wooden back, in original fitted case stamped Fabergé with the Imperial Warrant, St. Petersburg, Moscow.
