AN ART NOUVEAU AMETHYST AND ENAMEL BROOCH

Designed as a devil's head with horns and snake terminals, the mouth with purple enamel spays suspending an oval-cut amethyst drop, circa 1900 (enamel slightly damaged)

This brooch comes from the collection of Mr. Paul Briançon, who worked as a foreman in Lalique's workshop. See Ader, Picard, Tajan, catalogue of the February 1989 sale, Paris, lot no. 42
