manuscript on paper, 572ff. as numbered plus four flyleaves, each with 13ll. of flowing black bihari with interlinear Persian translation in red nasta'liq, occasional lines of text in gold, gold rosettes with blue dots between verses, gold margin between black rules, blue outer rule, gold and polychrome illuminated marginal medallions marking the divisions of text, also marked in gold, marginal notes and commentary in red, green, blue and black, sura headings in gold thuluth outlined in black in cartouches in illuminated panels with associated marginal medallion, (some staining and smudging, repairs, a few sura headings removed), opening folio with small illuminated rectangle (repaired), the opening bifolio illuminated in gold and polychrome around the text in gold, four other bifolios similar, (a few areas lacking, repaired), in modern sympathetic black morocco binding (negligible scuffing)
