with frosted and gilt bar type, cylinder escapement, plain balance, white enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, winding aperture at 2 o'clock, pierced gold hands, both sides of the case (circa 1860) decorated with classical scenes in polychrome enamel, within engraved band and paste-set bezel and suspended from an earlier vari-coloured gold chatelaine, with clip and one plaque decorated in polychrome enamel with scenes in the manner of Francois Boucher, movement signed- 155mm long
