Shaped-circular and with cast broad floral borders, each engraved twice with a coat-of-arms, marked on reverse - 27 cm (10½ in) diam.

Lot Essay

The arms are those of Foley quartering Hodgetts for John Hodgetts-Foley (1791-1861), grandson of Thomas, 1st Lord Foley of the second creation. Lord Foley's second son, Edward married secondly Eliza Maria, daughter and heiress of John Hodgetts Esq of Prestwood and their son, John (see above) took the additional name and arms of Hodgetts.
