White satin, worked gilt wire and sequins, each cover set with four faceted brilliants and large centrally placed gilt oval frames containing original gouaches on vellum, the upper of a soldier bidding farewell to his loved-one, the lower of a young woman surrounded by various revolutionary symbols, the front with pink satin liners, the pastedown with a shaped mounted mirror, the back with pink satin and floral paper wallet.
