(13 7/8 x 10 1/4in.) for vol. 1, slight variation in size for the rest, vols. 5-9 from another set and uncut, all in original red half roan over marbled boards, worn, upper covers of vols. 5 and 9 detached, most plates offset to text, usual browning and staining to many plates.
FIRST EDITION, second state of vol. 1, p. 33 (line 23 sentence beginning: "I have myself"), 76 hand-colored engraved plates by A. Lawson, J.G. Warnicke, G. Murray and B. Tanner after Wilson's drawings.
