Each copy of this edition varies in the number of coloured lithographs and in the colouring itself as Léger and the editor decided to colour over the lithographs, printed in black, after the edition had been published. As handcolouring was employed as well as pochoir colouring further variations occurred in the opacity of the gouache.
According to Saphire a suite printed in black on Chine was included in this edition of twenty as well as in the edition of 100 on the same paper, but there is no mention of this on the justification.
