One album contains mainly views around Italy including a four-part panoramic view of Rome. The calotypes show views around Spain. The other album includes six views of Edinburgh and several views around Greece, Turkey and Italy.

Very little is known about the photographer E. K. Tenison except that he was an active calotypist during the early 1850s. An album of his signed photographs made in 1852 and 1853 in Spain including Seville, Madrid and Andalucia was bequeathed to the Bibliothèque Nationale, Paris by his Spanish wife. The album was dedicated to Sofia Valera y Alcada Galiano, the Duchess of Malakoff.
