A RARE ARMORIAL IVORY BOX AND COVER, the top carved with a quatrefoil cartouche carved in shallow relief with figures in a pavilion garden below a coat-of-arms within a roundel, the spandrels carved in openwork with birds among flowering branches, surrounded by pierced lattice panels and smaller landscape cartouches, the sides with continuous scenes of figures in landscapes (age cracks), circa 1820
