4unused 1867 (Feb.) envelope from London to Constantinople, bearing 1d., 4d, and 6d. cancelled "48" and showing a fine strike of the "NOT-CALLED-FOR" h.s. in red, arrival c.d.s. in blue on reverse and a further fine strike on face for 7 August (in line with regulations confirming that letters were to be kept 6 months prior to their return to the R.L.O.); a little soiled in places though colourful and unusual.
