Engraved dedication serving as a title, engraved subscribers' leaf, 3 lithographic leaves of subscribers, 18 FINE HAND-COLOURED AQUATINT VIEWS by H.Pyall, H.Hunt and others after Moore, plate 14 marked 'Proof'. (Title and first subscribers' leaf with old dampstaining, tissue-guards attached to blank verso of preceding plates.) Early issue with plate 16 in first state with 'ajacent' spelling. Without the second series of 6 plates; a folding engraved map and the explanatory text. Cf. Abbey Travel 4040; Tooley 334.

The complete work contains 54 plates, cf. Abbey Travel 135. [and] 9 lithographic views (420 x 285mm. approx.) by Engelmann after C.Bourgeois, each titled Vues de Suisse and dated 1820 or 1821.

3 part works in one volume. Contemporary roan-backed marbled boards, printed paper label on upper cover (worn). Sold as a collection of plates, not subject to return.
