Rotoreliefs; Optical Discs ( Schwarz 294A)
black plastic circualar holder with black sponge rubber strip containing 6 offset lithograph cardboard discs, printed on both sides in different colours, 1935, from the edtion of 500 unnumbered, unsigned sets, issued in Paris in 1935 (300 of which lost during the war according to Schwarz; there were a further 4, partly signed and numbered editions between 1953-1965, totalling 1266 of which circa 600 were destroyed and circa 50 were not assembled), with the black plastic circular viewer and short explanatory note printed on a slip of wax paper, the long white cardboard strip missing, the cellophane window in the holder damaged but almost complete, the discs showing very little wear and surface dirt in places, one with a minor handling nick, the plastic holder and viewer with very few minor scratches, all generally in good condition
