A SILVER SPICECONTAINER, set on a circular stepped domed base, decorated with a border of stylized leaf-tips, the skirted stem formed and chased to represent a tree-trunk with a fox at it's base chasing two birds, the pear-shaped spice-section engraved with wriggle-work geometrical patterns, fitted inside with a perforated cover, the domed pull-off lid with a cock-form finial, maker's mark R W, Poland, circa 1845
