First edition. 40 + [4] leaves, gathered in 10 signed quires of 4 leaves and 1 unsigned quire of 4 leaves (Tsurot ha-yesodot, missing in many copies). Title within woodcut frame of floral columns held by two Roman soldiers, title soiled, two small holes slightly affecting decoration and other minor flaws, library stamp, owner's inscription of Kalman Lieben from Prague, interior with 2 stamps of Jacob Tsevi Mecklenburg, rabbi at Königsberg from 1830 to 1865, printer's mark of Tobias Foa on f. 40, woodcut cartouche head-piece (38 x 64 mm) forming the word Amar on f.41, water-staining, leather backed marble boards, nice copy.

At the colophon (f. 40v) is stated that the printing of the book was completed at the 10th of Tevet 5317 which corresponds with the year 1557 and not 1556 as given by Zedner 370 and Roest 474. See further Cowley 256 and Yaari, Mechkarei Sefer, Foa no. 19, p. 362-363.
