Lot Essay

The above mentioned ship was built in 1863 for the firm Seddon & Co., Liverpool and was then named James Seddon.
In 1869 the ship was sold to the shipowners De Vries & Co. and was renamed Johannes, sold in 1879 to ship owner J. Veth, Amsterdam.
In 1881 she was condemned in Port Elisabeth.
