A model for the monumental work Corporate Entity, commissioned by Unilever

In 1960 the Dutch pavilion at the Venice Biennale was devoted almost entirely to Couzijn's work, marking a national and international breakthrough. His model for "Corporate Entity" was on show for the first time - the model for the gigantic bronze sculpture which was to be placed in front of the Unilever building in Rotterdam in 1963.
The very first sketch, made of matchboxes among other things, probably dates from 1959; its elaboration and execution, a titanic undertaking of the part of the Joosten brothers, took three years
