Inlaid overall with foliate-arabesques, baskets of fruit and laurel ribbon-tied tendrils, crossbanded overall in kingwood and inlaid with boxwood lines, the rectangular moulded top above a roll-top enclosing a green leather-lined sliding writing-surface, four drawers and six compartments around a door, above two short and two long drawers flanking a kneehole and on urn-headed square tapering legs with brass caps and castors and with inlay to the reverse
