TWO MEISSEN ROCOCO-SCROLL-MOULDED TWO-LIGHT WALL-BRACKETS
Circa 1880

Moulded with gold-fringed claret drapery, one modelled with a god embracing a cherub seated on a shell, the other similarly modelled with a maiden and cherub flanked by two scrolling arms and by leafy garlands of flowers applied in high relief, the tops moulded with scrolls, feathers and foliage, the details enriched in gilding (small chips and minor restoration to extremities), blue crossed swords marks, one incised 641/7 22¾in. and 23¼in. (57.5cm. and 59cm.) high (2)
