A PAIR OF LARGE GILTMETAL-MOUNTED SÈVRES-PATTERN DARK-BLUE-GROUND VASES AND DOMED COVERS

With continuous battle scenes, one with Medieval soldiers, the other with 17th century-style figures, the reverses with châteaux in isolated rural landscapes above a band of moulded acanthus, the flared necks and spreading stems with interlaced monograms, laurel and fleurs-de-lys, the covers similarly decorated, mounted with cone finials, beaded bands at the shoulders, two scroll handles cast with leaves and laurel and on footed square bases (slight crazing to glaze), signed Desprez Sèvres, imitation gilt interlaced L and Sèvres marks
