AN EARLY MING BLUE AND WHITE DISH well painted in the centre with a single flower inclosed by lotus, peony and camellia on slender interlaced stems, the deep well with a continuous composite meander comprising chrysanthemum, lotus, hibiscus, camellia and peony surrounded by a foliage scroll around the everted rim, the reverse with a similar meander, the underglaze-blue of good bright tone with 'heaping and piling' highlighting the design, the base unglazed (minor rim chips),
