A LARGE GREY POTTERY TOAD, modelled in a crouching posture with bulbous eyes and a ring-punched pattern covering its body, the back with a large aperture, all on a rectangular base (old chips), probably 12th/14th Century, 27.5cm. long; a green-glazed toad kendi or water-dropper modelled in a crouching posture, with a small central aperture between its eyes forming the spout and a larger aperture on its back, punched roundels covering the body, the glaze mottled to reveal the brown body (extremity chips, feet restored), 13th Century, 17cm. long; and a small brown-glazed crouching lion-beast with head upturned and snarling expression, on an oval raised base (glaze flaking), 14th/16th Century, 10cm. long (3)
